office attire

I remember back in the day when I worked in the garment manufacturer or in the jewelry company, both big brands, both fashion industry, and both wardrobe most of the boutique staffs -not factory management such as I am :(  , the company giveaway the clothing to the models (cause its been used / touching the skin of the model...euww... and there might be some bacterial issues...). Another must is when we have to wardrobe the directors [again me not included] with jewelries from the brand....

It's a nightmare! Here are some examples from the nightmare that my friends (I am different dept)
1) have to pack nicely the garments after a very nice steamer process, have to write cards to go along...
garment got lost in the steaming line / switched (yes we produce quiet big amount samples for sales rep, etc.)
2) wardrobe the director(s) with jewelry and semi precious stones or even precious stones fall of the prongs, or broken.. or scratches... yikes! I feel you repair dept!
3) when the person resigns (or fired), sometimes we must take legal action to take back for the wardrobe... people... helloooo.... those bracelets, necklaces, rings etc. cost 50.000 USD easy! of course we want them back!
4) renting them LV bags to go with the jewelry, and they stained the bag!
hahaha....I can go on and on about it guys...seriously! guess I now can look back and laugh about it...:D

Moral of the story: buy your own stuff and you can wear it whatever the way you like it, doesn't matter if its not branded; but if you can afford branded items, why not? when you blog about the stuff, you don't have to worry about "on repeat" posting (just like me here). Have a great day peeps!

ps: my colleague think that I am wearing a table cloth, he suggest I tied the side part to make it less obvious. LOL

Legend of Hercules

At first I was just going to post these two outfit photos and images I googled from the movie 'The Legend of Hercules' and write a captions "this was what I wore and this was the movie I watched" I was a mess and have to run (as always)...
And than I said to myself that it ain't right, sohere goes...
I was expecting a man with slightly longer hair, minimum amount of clothing and wrist bands... but what do I get? There was no long-haired man, but the minimum amount of clothing and wrist bands are there.... with addition of -matrix movie technique- (yup and so we called it). I know I am going to be biased in rating this one because of Kellan's abs, so I am just gonna rate it "entertaining" #wink
The origin story of the the mythical Greek hero. Betrayed by his stepfather, the King, and exiled and sold into slavery because of a forbidden love, Hercules must use his formidable powers to fight his way back to his rightful kingdom. la da da... you know how the story goes... Kellan's abs... oops sorry, yeah.... recommended to watch guys!

thank you all for stopping by and read the bits....

Elephant Trunk Hill Guilin [unpublished]

Here goes another flashback in time and unpublished series from my trip to Guilin, south of China.

The Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiàngbí Shān) is a landmark in Guilin. It is the symbol of the city of Guilin. It got its name because it looks like an elephant drinking water. The round opening that would be under the elephant’s trunk is known as Water-Moon Cave because at night the reflection of the moon can be seen through the arch and it looks like it is under the water and floating on the surface of the water at the same time. Elephant Trunk Hill and Water-Moon Cave are located at the confluence of the Taohua River and the Lijiang River.

activities around the area,

lunch time, again another local food of mix rice,

bao, yummy bun!

By night we took the Li River cruise.... It is a night cruise along the two rivers and four lakes, included Li river, peach blossom river, Rong lake , San lake, Gui lake and Mulong lake, they are connected and linked-up each other. Actually, it's a waterway transportation which made up of Guilin downtown around the city water system. Its a complete moat river system in Guilin since over 1,000 years ago. Nowadays, the two rivers and four lakes is a pearl to Guilin city, making Guilin more beautiful and livable. There are many variety of flowers and trees were planted both side of the two rivers and four lakes, and it also embellished by many unique stones, arch-shaped bridges, pagoda, man-made fountains, ancient pavilion, etc. can be seen along the way. It provides a very good relaxing place both for the local residents and tourists. The lights, the music, the people walking along the riverside are looking colorful and beautiful..... the cruise gives you a new and deep impression of Guilin that you won't see during the daytime.

it was a good day, and night! :)

Vikings

This is what I wore yesterday, as for the title, I am looking forward to watch Vikings on History Channel for its wardrobe and hairstyle (and uhmmm... story of course). Vikings follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok: the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the saga of Ragnar's band of Viking brothers and his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods: legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.
